Oak Ridge Investments, LLC, is pleased to announce the appointment of Neil A. Cummins to the senior management team as Chairman. Mr. Cummins will join the Oak Ridge Executive Committee and be responsible for leading the strategic plan of the firm. He will be actively engaged in business development, both in expanding Oak Ridge’s global client focus and the addition of new strategies to grow Oak Ridge’s investment offerings. David Klaskin, whose role remains unchanged, continues to lead the Firm, the Executive Committee and the Investment team as Founder, CEO and Chief Investment Officer.
Mr. Cummins has an extensive background in the global finance industry, principally London based. Most recently, Mr. Cummins was a Managing Director of Barclays Capital. As a Founding Management Committee member in 1997, his responsibilities over his 15 years with the company included the roles of Global Head of Distribution, Financial Futures, Research and Strategic Relationship Management.
From 1985 to 1997, Mr. Cummins was a Managing Director of Morgan Stanley in London. He also served on the Board of Directors of Morgan Stanley Bank Luxembourg SA and the Supervisory Board of Morgan Stanley Bank AG, Frankfurt.
Mr. Cummins currently serves on the Board of Directors of Five Oaks Investment Corp. (NYSE: OAKS). Previously, Mr. Cummins served on the Board of Directors of iBoxx Limited and International Index Company from 2003 to 2005. He graduated with a BA in Economics from Indiana University, Bloomington.
According to David Klaskin, Founder, CEO and Chief Investment Officer, “I am thrilled that an individual of Neil’s international background and reputation is joining Oak Ridge and I am highly energized to work together to elevate our status on a global basis. Neil has a keen knowledge of worldwide markets, an experienced management perspective and an uncompromising emphasis on integrity.”
Oak Ridge is rapidly growing its investment management business and assets under management due to the continued success of many of its investment strategies. Oak Ridge continues to attract a loyal client base who values its performance records. The superior track records are a result of the experience and continuity of the portfolio management team led by David Klaskin; there has been no lead portfolio manager turnover on any of Oak Ridge’s strategies since inception. Recently, Oak Ridge announced two new mutual funds which emulate two of Oak Ridge’s established separately managed account strategies.
A focused discipline has allowed Oak Ridge to successfully manage investments for over 23 years. Many investment managers follow shorter-term trends which, over long periods of time, may not prove to be in the best interests of clients. Oak Ridge remains steadfast in owning the type of high-quality, differentiated companies that may provide investors with attractive risk adjusted returns over the long-term.
